Zip Ties tidies messy ComfyUI workflows by bundling wires into ribbons

ComfyUIFree, open source (MIT, ComfyUI extension)

Zip Ties is a free ComfyUI extension that gathers the wires crossing a line you draw into one ribbon, held by small zip ties you can move, rotate and recolour. It makes big video and image workflows easier to read without hiding any connections.

What it does

Hold Z and drag a line across wires to tie them, or use Tie wires from the right-click menu. Shift-dragging a tie rotates it in 15-degree steps, so two ties can make a right-angle bend; ties follow their nodes, work across reroutes and groups, copy and paste with nodes, and are saved inside the workflow, which still opens normally without the extension.

Results and limits

It is built from a short prototype video by @cmzw_ that passed 5,000 likes on X, and ComfyUI Wiki reports it reached the front page of both r/comfyui and r/StableDiffusion within a day of its first release.

Worth knowing

Version 0.4.0 (26 October) is a single JavaScript file with no nodes and no Python dependencies, tested on ComfyUI 0.42.0 with frontend 1.57.1 in both the classic and Vue node modes. The ribbon shape is tuned for spline links, and reroute pieces drawn from a link badge cannot be tied. Install it from ComfyUI-Manager by searching "Zip Ties" or with comfy node install comfyui-zip-ties. MIT licence.
