ComfyUI v0.40.0 adds camera-angle nodes and LoRA stack loaders

ComfyUIFree, open source

ComfyUI v0.40.0 adds CameraAngle and CreateCameraInfo nodes for defining camera parameters inside a workflow, plus native LoRA stack loaders. It also changes MiniMax H3 image decoding and fixes EXR and half-float file handling.

What it does

The CameraAngle node outputs a camera_info value and a shot prompt, and CreateCameraInfo builds camera_info directly. Native LoRA stack loaders let you load several LoRAs together.

MiniMax H3 single images are now decoded as the first latent of a clip, saved EXR files are compressed, and video metadata is extracted when assets are scanned.

Results and limits

The coverage notes the release notes don't say which video models read camera_info, so treat the nodes as a way to define camera parameters, not as confirmed camera control over generated video. No tests were run.

Worth knowing

It was released on GitHub on October 13, 2026 at 21:29 UTC (October 13 at 23:29 Warsaw time). The coverage is based only on the changelog's pull-request titles.

Try it yourself

Add a CameraAngle node set to [low angle, 35mm], feed its shot prompt into your video prompt, and load [character LoRA] + [style LoRA] with the new LoRA stack loader. Compare against the same seed without the camera prompt.
