Ideogram Vector 1.0 turns a prompt or an image into an editable SVG

Ideogram Vector 1.0Ideogram app, API and fal

Ideogram Vector 1.0 is Ideogram's first vector model: describe a logo, title lettering or flat illustration and get back an SVG, or upload an image and convert it to vectors. Every shape can be recoloured, moved and resized on its own, which suits title cards, posters and merch for a film.

What it does

There are two ways in: text to vector (a prompt plus optional reference images) and image to vector (a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 50 MB). The result is one SVG with editable colours, shapes and smooth gradients that stays sharp from a small label to a large poster.

Results and limits

Coverage on launch day describes clean SVGs with sharp typography that open in Illustrator, Figma or Inkscape. The vectorizer can't group shapes into layers yet, so a complex piece arrives as a flat pile of shapes you organise yourself.

Worth knowing

API prices per SVG are $0.13 (low), $0.16 (medium) and $0.20 (high) for text to vector, $0.32 at high quality with references, and $0.10 to convert an image. Both API endpoints run asynchronously and take a dry-run flag that prices a request without running it. It is a closed model, also live on fal.

Try it yourself

A flat vector title card for a short film called [TITLE]: bold hand-lettered wordmark, [two brand colours], simple film-reel motif, clean shapes.
