Plenio 1.0 turns ComfyUI into a free local song studio

Plenio Music Production SystemFree, open source (Apache 2.0)

Plenio is a free, open-source ComfyUI node pack that goes from a song idea to a mastered track on your own machine. A local language model writes the lyrics, YuE2 or MiniMax Music 3 performs them, and version 1.0 adds a browser player and lyric videos.

What it does

You fill in a Song Brief (tempo, length, vocals, language, key, genre), and a local language model such as Gemma 4, or any GGUF through LM Studio, Ollama or llama.cpp, writes the title, style and lyrics. The Song Sheet shows exactly what the music model will receive before anything renders. YuE2-3B sings the score or MiniMax Music 3 renders from the caption and lyrics, then Plenio mixes stems, masters to -14 LUFS and exports FLAC, MP3 or WAV with tags and cover art.

Version 1.0 adds the Plenio Player, a local browser front end with the lyrics and the notation following the music, MP4 lyric videos in Full HD, 4K, square or vertical, and .srt lyric subtitles for YouTube or DaVinci Resolve.

Worth knowing

Everything runs inside ComfyUI's own nodes with no cloud service or API key, and the code is Apache 2.0. The model files have their own licenses: the YuE2 int8 checkpoint is CC BY-NC 4.0 (non-commercial), and MiniMax Music 3 uses the MiniMax-Music3 Community License. For smaller GPUs, the docs list an int8 MiniMax Music 3 file rated for 8 to 16 GB cards. The author calls 1.0 the version to build on after fourteen releases in three weeks.

Try it yourself

In the YuE2 · Song template, fill the Song Brief with: genre [synthwave], tempo [100 BPM], vocals [female], language [English], length [2:30], about [the opening scene of your film]. Check the Song Sheet, then render and export.
