FreeField: open-source Higgsfield-style video effects as ComfyUI workflows

FreeFieldFree, open source (MIT)

FreeField is an open-source library of one-photo video effects, such as Earth Zoom, Product Freeze and Comic Bonk, where each preset is a ComfyUI workflow plus a small preset file running on open-weight models. It comes with a gallery app and a command line, and most presets run on an 8 GB NVIDIA graphics card.

What it does

You give it a photo or a clip and pick a preset; FreeField runs the workflow through the Comfy SDK, checks its own output and re-renders when, for example, a hand comes in from the edge of the frame or a face drifts away from the input. A new preset is one folder with no code, and a plain-words builder made several of the included ones, such as the paper cutout and marble statue effects.

Worth knowing

The README asks for Linux, an NVIDIA GPU with 8 GB or more, 16 GB of RAM and about 25 GB of disk, and reports about 2 minutes per clip on an RTX 2070 Super. The Out of the Frame, Out of the Box and Out of the Photo presets use Wan 2.2 I2V-A14B and need a 24 GB card (about 4 minutes a clip on an RTX 4090), or you can run on Comfy Cloud with an API key. It is MIT licensed and was entered in Comfy's Open Source Higgsfield challenge.
