EdenLive turns a rough graybox scene into real-time video at about 25 fps on one RTX 5090

EdenLiveFree, open weights; hosted demos

VAST released EdenLive, an open model that takes a simple grey 3D proxy or a recorded video plus a first frame and a prompt and renders it as realistic video live. The 5B version runs at about 24.7 frames per second at 1280×704 on a single RTX 5090.

What it does

You block out a scene with grey shapes, or record any rough video, then give EdenLive a styled first frame and a text prompt. It re-renders the motion as finished-looking video while the input plays, so a game-engine graybox can work like a live previz camera. VAST ships 5B and 14B weights and an EdenGolem skill that builds a playable graybox from a prompt.

Results and limits

The 24.7 fps figure is VAST's own, measured with LightX2V acceleration on one RTX 5090 for the 5B model. The 14B model is slower and aimed at bigger GPUs.

Worth knowing

The code is Apache-2.0. You can try it in hosted demos on fal and Reactor before installing anything.
