ComfyUI-MangaScreen turns an illustration into a printed black-and-white manga page

ComfyUI-MangaScreenFree, open source

ComfyUI-MangaScreen is a free custom node pack that converts any image into a clean black-and-white manga or comic panel with crisp lines, flat tones and real halftone screentone. It keeps the line art on its own layer, so lines stay sharp instead of turning to mush like a plain halftone filter.

What it does

Manga Finish separates lines from tone, pushes values into paper white, light tone, dark tone and solid black, adds gradation tone on smooth shadows and one 45° dot screen, and cuts thin white fold lines into solid blacks. Manga Panel crops the result into a bordered panel, and Manga Levels is a light prep step.

Results and limits

Early users on X say it works best on backgrounds and less well on characters (@NobinLOG), and some run the Potrace library afterward to smooth jagged lines (@jinichirokamiya).

Worth knowing

The included QWEN-Manga workflow first runs a Qwen-Image 2.1 Turbo edit to redraw the image as a B&W panel, which decides light and dark by meaning, not brightness. A Manga-Lite workflow skips the edit model. MIT license.
