Bria Fibo 2.0: an 8B open-weights model that generates and edits images, with a 4-step Edit Turbo

Fibo 2.0Open weights (non-commercial), API on Bria and fal

Bria released Fibo 2.0, an 8-billion-parameter image model that both generates and edits pictures and was trained only on licensed data. Its Edit Turbo mode edits in 4 steps, and the weights run in ComfyUI and WanGP.

What it does

One model does text-to-image and editing with masks and up to 4 reference images. Prompts can be structured JSON (Bria calls it VGL) so you can change one attribute, like lighting or a prop, without rewriting the whole prompt. Edit Turbo needs 4 steps and no CFG; the Dev model uses 50 steps.

Results and limits

On launch day Artificial Analysis listed it as the top open-weights editing model and second among open text-to-image models. Those rankings move quickly.

Worth knowing

The weights are gated and under CC BY-NC 4.0, so commercial use needs an agreement with Bria. It is also on fal, ComfyUI has native nodes from v0.42.3, and WanGP v18.21 added it with Edit Turbo.
